COB Culture Update

Call for Culture is currently reviewing, assessing, and reporting the confidential, aggregrated findings. The results will be shared with the entire college on Tuesday, November 19th at 9:15AM. Claudia has sent out a calendar invite. We hope to see you there! 

Spread Holiday Joy!

The season of giving is here, and the angel tree in the College of Business is still decorated with angels waiting for their elves to make this holiday special. We are excited to be partnering with the National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP) in Merrillville to help bring joy to children in need.

If you've already selected an angel, please remember to return your unwrapped gifts to Sam or Sydney by Monday, November 27th.

Haven’t Picked an Angel Yet?
It's not too late to join in the giving spirit! There are still angels on the tree, waiting for someone to brighten their holiday. You can pick one up by the COB front desk in Anderson– let’s make sure no one is left out this season.

Together, we can make this a holiday to remember for these children. Thank you for your generosity and for helping us spread joy and kindness!

Join us for a festive gathering to kick off the holiday season! Bring your favorite dish to share, and let’s celebrate the end of the semester together with good food, laughter, and great company. Whether it’s a savory main, a sweet treat, or something in between, your contribution will make our table complete. Let’s make this a warm and wonderful event as we head into the holiday break. Celebrating Faculty Achievements

We want to spotlight and celebrate the remarkable work our faculty have accomplished this semester! Whether you’ve published a paper, attended a conference, earned a new certification, received an award, or made a splash in the media, we’d love to hear about it.

Please send a summary of your accomplishments to your department head by December 18th, 2024. Your hard work deserves recognition, and we can’t wait to celebrate these successes college-wide!

This holiday season, the College of Business invites faculty and staff to make a difference by participating in our Angel Tree initiative! Join us in bringing joy by helping provide Christmas gifts for those in need. Simply choose an angel from the tree, shop for a gift, and return it UNWRAPPED to our designated collection area. Together, we can make this season brighter for our community.

Unwrapped gifts are due back November 27th.

Hidden around the 3rd floor of Anderson and in HTM are photos of Dean Rachel Clapp Smith as a mischievous "Elf." Your mission? Find as many as you can – but don’t stop at just one search, because new Dean Elves will be popping up all week long! 🎅✨

🎁 Prizes await for the top student & top faculty/staff elf-finders, so bring your A-game and holiday spirit! Gather up your Dean Elves and turn them in by Friday, December 6th, either at the COB front desk on the 3rd floor of Anderson or in HTM. Winners will be announced during finals week!
