This is a weekly meeting for anyone interested to discuss all the latest developments in the realm of quantum and AI. This week, we'll join a virtual talk (via the large conference display) on "Quantum Reservoir Computing for Statistical and Econometric Classification".

More details on the talk: Analog Quantum Reservoir Computing (QRC) offers a hardware-efficient paradigm for machine learning by leveraging the natural non-linear dynamics of quantum systems without requiring deep gate-based compilation or error correction. In this talk, we explore how a compact superconducting circuit governed by driven-dissipative Bose-Hubbard dynamics can be applied to statistical inference and financial time-series modeling. Specifically, we demonstrate its capability to discriminate statistical distributions and classify volatility regimes in GARCH(1,1) processes using a simple linear readout. Crucially, our results show that QRC outperforms classical non-linear benchmarks in data-scarce regimes, underscoring the potential of near-term analog superconducting hardware for fast, low-latency econometric and statistical analysis.
