Mission Pi Sigma Alpha is the National Political Science Honor Society, the only honor society for college students of political science and government in the United States. It was founded in 1920 at the University of Texas, Austin for the purpose of bringing together students and faculty interested in the study of government and politics. There are now over 850 chapters of Pi Sigma Alpha located on college and university campuses in every state of the United States and one in Canada. Purdue University Northwest campus is the official Tau Psi Chapter. At PNW, in addition to being an honor society, we also operate as a student club, and we welcome all students, regardless or major, to join us and to learn and discuss politics, civics, and current events! In 2022, our chapter received the Pi Sigma Alpha Best Chapter Award for third year in a row!
