One term in office will be defined as three consecutive semesters (fall, spring, summer).
Each officer position shall be put up for vote by club members at the first official meeting following the club's first year, though no term limits shall be imposed.
The removal of an officer requires a seventy-five percent majority amongst eligible voting members.
To be considered as an eligible voting member, one must have attended 3 consecutive meetings.
Officer to be on probation if she or he is absent for 3 or more E-Board Meeting without giving notice.
President:
Be a club member who has been an active member within the organization for at least one full school year.
Preside over general and board meetings and speak on behalf of the club.
The president shall provide guidance for the organization through an agenda.
Should be present and represent the club during any presentations or events performed by the club.
May appoint any qualified member to fill a vacated Board position until the Board can take action.
Shall be responsible for keeping connections between our SHPE chapter and SHPE Nationals.
Vice President:
Be a club member who has been active within the club for at least one full school year.
The vice president will assist the president in any means necessary and will provide guidance and order to the organization as well.
Oversee the organization and membership of the club as well.
Act as the President in the latter absence or in the event that the president is unable to complete the term.
Coordinate National and Regional Conventions along with President
Treasurer:
Be a club member who has been active within the organization for at least one full school year.
The treasurer must be fiscally responsible and in charge of the basic financial functions regarding the organization.
Refunding expenses assigned by President
The treasurer must keep track of any and all income for and purchases by the club in a clear fashion.
She or he will also be in charge of presenting said data at each meeting and will discuss financial issues with the other officers.
Work with President and Vice President to create a budget for regional and national conferences.
Secretary:
Be a club member who has been active within the organization for at least one full school year.
The secretary and president must construct a detailed and organized agenda for every meeting, which is done 1-3 days before the scheduled meeting.
She or he must also take documents and descriptive notes and comments during the meeting, and store them in the archives of the organization religiously.
Ensure that members list is accurate and up to date.
