What: Hammond Holiday Parade
When: Saturday, December 6 @ 10:00 am
Where: Parade route starts at Gavit High School and ends at the Hammond Sportsplex

PNW Participant Information
• Check in will begin at 8:00 am
• Access to the Gavit parking lot, 175th from White Oak to Southeastern, and Northcote along the football field, will be restricted to vehicles participating in the parade. This is for everyone's safety. Please plan to drop off participants outside this area.
• Our group will line up at 175th Street in front of Gavit on the South side. Please be sure to arrive no later than 9:15. Everyone from our group should be in the truck or in marching formation no later than 9:45 am. The parade will begin to move at this time and if we are not ready, our group will be passed and moved to the end of the parade.
• We are only walking in the parade behind our PNW truck, so there will be no stopping throughout the parade.
• We may pass candy to people along the route, but they ask that we do not throw candy. Please gently toss or hand out the candy to avoid any injuries. PNW will have candy canes, hats, and gloves to pass out to the crowd. Please donate to Honors College hat and glove drive in SULB 313.
• The parade will end at 167th Street behind the Sportsplex at 6630 Indianapolis Boulevard. Arrangements for pick-up of participants should be made. A suggestion would be to drop off your car at the sportsplex and carpool with someone to our line up location at Gavit so that there are vehicles in both locations for the trip back once the parade is over.
• Return transportation for all participants should line up in the Sportsplex back parking lot.
• We will have Santa hats for all to wear and we ask that you dress in your holiday best whether that's your favorite winter gear, holiday costume, ugly sweater, etc.
