RSO Officer Fall 2026 Training!

Introduction

HI RSO Officers!!!

Is it June already?  HOLY COW is summer moving fast! 

Our office CANNOT wait until you all return to campus in the Fall and continue your amazing work with your clubs and student organizations. 

To make sure you are prepared for the 2026-2027 school year, we want to provide you with a total of 3 Training Sessions before classes begin so that you and your organization can hit the ground running before we return. Below you will find links to training session 1, RSO Officer training expectations and information on future training sessions.

Training Requirements and Expectations

First, let’s review some expectations.  This will help us lay the groundwork for how training will be conducted in the future!

To serve as an RSO Officer, you must be “Fully Trained” The Office of Student Life defines fully trained as:

• All RSO Officers in your organization attend and or view recorded Training sessions
  • Session 1: RSO Foundations and Compliance
    • (Watch Recording only)
  • Session 2: Event Planning and Risk Management
    • Register for Training here (May attend Virtually July 15^th)
  • Session 3: Finance, Funding and Accountability
    • Register for Training here (May attend Virtually July 29^th)
• ALL RSO Officers have read the RSO Handbook
• ALL RSO Officers must Complete the required quizzes in MPL with 100% by September 1^st. 
  • Retakes are allowed!
  • These Quizzes can be found in your tracks and Checklists on MyPNWLife. (check near the end of the recording for where your quizzes are located!)

RSOs that have Officers that fail to complete their quizzes by September 1^st will have their status as a student organization placed under review.  This could result in:

• Loss of SSF Funds for your organization
• Incurring Infractions for your organization
• Loss of access to MyPNWLife Student Organization Page
• Removal of registration Status with the Office of Student Life
