Mission The Lionette's of Purdue Northwest University celebrates the beauty of dance, focusing on a mix of majorette style and color guard flag performances. Majorettes encompass more than just dancing; they hold a significant cultural role, particularly in Historically Black Roots. Majorette teams provide a platform for women to join a supportive community, build confidence, and enhance flexibility. Majorette dancers stand out through cohesive hairstyles and vibrant outfits. Dancing makes guard members’ skill on equipment even higher, because they can move their bodies in an enhanced way. Flag spinning, also known as flag dancing, is a form of performance art where flags are spun and waved in a rhythmic fashion with music while dancing majorette style. Committed to excellence, teamwork, and creativity, the team fosters school spirit through their performances at campus events. All while providing an inclusive space for artistic expression and personal growth.
